Privacy Policy

This website, microtech.az, is operated by MicroTech LLC ("Microtech", "we"), 152 Heydar Aliyev Avenue, Chinar Plaza, 9th floor, Baku, Azerbaijan. For any privacy question or request, contact us at info@microtech.az or +994 50 799 99 60.

This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, in particular through the MicroTech AI chat assistant and the contact form, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have.

MicroTech AI chat assistant

• Your questions. The questions you type are sent to our AI service provider, PyWiki, to generate answers. We do not store your conversation history on our servers. PyWiki processes them under its own privacy policy (pywiki.com/privacy), which does not state how long chat questions are kept.
• A chat session identifier. If you complete the hCaptcha check, we place a cookie containing a random identifier, valid for 30 days, so that our server can remember when you last passed the check. It does not contain your name, email address or IP address.
• A conversation identifier provided by PyWiki is kept in your browser's local storage so that the assistant can follow the context of your conversation.

Optional name and email. Before your third question the chat assistant asks for your first and last name, and before your sixth question for your email address. Both are optional and can be skipped. What you enter is not sent to our server, PyWiki or any other service and is not stored; the form is cleared as soon as you continue or skip.

Security checks

• To protect the chat assistant against automated abuse, every chat message is checked by Cloudflare Turnstile, a service of Cloudflare, Inc. (United States). The check is normally invisible.
• If your connection is not identified as originating in Azerbaijan, you are also asked to complete an hCaptcha check once every 24 hours. hCaptcha is a service of Intuition Machines, Inc. (Delaware, United States).
• These services process your IP address and technical information about your browser and device under their own privacy policies.
• To decide whether the hCaptcha check is needed, our server compares your IP address with public registry data on Azerbaijani IP address ranges. The result is not stored.
• To limit the number of messages, our server counts your messages over the last hour using a hashed form of your IP address. Older entries are deleted automatically.

Contact form

• If you use the contact form, the name, company, email address and message you enter are sent to us by email through the form service FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) and received in our mailbox, which is hosted by Google.

Other technical data

• Your language preference is stored in your browser's local storage.
• The fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address.
• Our hosting provider may record standard web server logs (IP address, requested page, time) and keeps them for the period it sets.

• To answer your questions in the chat assistant and your enquiries sent through the contact form, and where necessary to contact you about them.
• To protect the website and the chat assistant against abuse and automated attacks.

Marketing: sending us an enquiry does not mean you agree to receive marketing communications. We will only send you marketing if you separately and explicitly agree to it.

Backups. Our hosting provider may keep backup copies of our server for the period it sets.

The website and the chat assistant are served only over encrypted HTTPS connections. We do not store your chat conversations on our server, and the chat session records on our server contain no name, email address or IP address.

To run this website we use the service providers listed above: PyWiki (pywiki.com; its privacy policy states that data may be processed in different countries depending on its service providers), Cloudflare, Inc. (United States), Intuition Machines, Inc. (hCaptcha, United States), FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), Google (Google Fonts and the Microtech mailbox) and our hosting provider, whose servers run on Akamai (Linode) infrastructure. Some of these providers process data outside Azerbaijan, including in the United States. Each provider processes data under its own terms and privacy policy.

We do not sell your personal information.

You can ask us to:

• tell you whether we hold personal information about you and provide a copy;
• correct inaccurate information;
• delete your information.

Send your request to info@microtech.az. We will respond within the time limits set by applicable law. We may ask you to confirm that the request comes from you, for example by replying from the email address you gave us. Depending on the law that applies to you, you may also have the right to object to or restrict processing and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority or a court.
